Well, I can't complain about today. Things went very well and I saw the two cutest patients ever. My morning patient ended up being 3 quads of a class three which I wasn't expecting. He also had the most interesting bridge on the mandibular anteriors. It was a great experience to get to clean.
My afternoon patient was a class 5 but with the most tenacious calculus on the lower anteriors. I truly can't explain how hard it was. I would go to do a working stroke and my scaler would just stop when I hit the calculus. I was really using some of the most pressure that I ever have. It took me about 40 minutes to scale and 35 was on the lower anteriors alone. I was able to use the perio files like I have not used before on calculus. I was able to use them this morning on a composite overhang as well. It was a great experience.
All in all, a good day!

I have the CUTEST mom!!!
So my mom came in this morning. She was so funny and cracking me up the whole time. She didn't need x-rays, but she insisted on 2 PA's. She didn't need anesthesia, but insisted on an IA and LB. She didn't need a sealant, but insisted that she did in order for me to use the diagnodent. I didn't do the sealant. She did need Arestin, but insisted... that is where I drew the line. I told her she didn't need it. I told her that my instructor wouldn't go for it. She insisted that I ask, and tried to convince my instructor that she needed it. All in all, however, she got a lot done today that was not necessary just to be a peach and help me with my requirements. I do love her and and soooooooooooooooooo grateful to have her!!!
